ComputerVault utilize the same types of technology that Public and Private Cloud providers use, except that a ComputerVault is deployed on your site(s). Since it is “on premises” your data does not leave your office and the ComputerVault is only used by your business. This is done so that a business can have the added security and improved uptime that clouds provide without turning your data over to a third-party.

netPulz hyperconverged storage and compute resources combined with network, virtualized servers and desktops provide fail over between servers, network and applications. So if one virtual server crashes, it fails over to another virtual server so that corporate data and applications are always available without downtime.
Because Advans incorporated its netPulz networking technology into its ComputerVault, businesses have access to the data and applications hosted in their ComputerVault from both the Local Area Network onsite and secure, encrypted offsite access from a Software-Defined Wide-Area Network. It also provides failover capability for your network, firewall and remote access.
Large enterprises use virtual servers and desktops because they deliver increased security for corporate data and lower support costs because they are easier to maintain. However, those solutions are very expensive and may require 8 to 10 years before the reduced support costs create a break even return on the initial investment. Because Advans owns the entire technology stack, we offer a cost neutral Private Cloud delivering the all these benefits and more for the same cost as buying and supporting physical servers, PC’s and laptops.
Traditional hyperconverged solutions combine storage and compute resources on one device. This software/hardware platform, often called an appliance, is essentially a server with a large amount of onboard storage that is “mirrored,” i.e., there are two copies of all the files and virtual machines. If one copy is unavailable, the applications and data are still available to the users from the surviving copy. Once the issue is resolved, the surviving files are copied and the mirror is restored.
A hypervisor for building virtual machines is included to quickly create virtual servers for hosting applications. Coupling the compute resources with storage optimizes performance, simplifies the IT infrastructure and provides flexibility. Appliances are added in a modular fashion as additional computing and storage capacity is needed. However, this improved storage and compute utilization increases the cost that only large enterprises can afford. Advans has changed the equation on hyperconverged systems in favor of SMBs.

Advans adds networking capabilities to the compute and storage resources of a traditional Hyperconverged solution to create netPulz Software Defined Infrastructure. Any application hosted in the ComputerVault on your premises is accessible from in the LAN or remotely using a netPulz SD-WAN. Virtual desktops are also available with access to them from both inside and outside your network.
Advans netPulz networking eliminates the need for network gear and increases network security by using only encrypted connections, and incorporating Active Directory Integration, firewalls and Unified Threat Management as components in any netPulz installation.
Because of netPulz Software Defined Networking, Advans also provides 24x7 remote monitoring and support from Advans’ Network Operations Center, offsite backup and recovery as well as disaster recovery solutions. In the event of a disaster, a business can continue operating from the Advans Cloud hosted in our datacenter.
The Advans VDI Solution hosts virtual desktops in a ComputerVault. Because the netPulz networking component is built-in to the netPulz VDI, all virtual desktops are accessible from the local area network and remotely via a netPulz SD-WAN. Both Fat Clients and Thin Clients may be used to connect to the virtual desktops.
An existing PC or laptop can be used as a client by installing a netPulz VDI Software Client, which connects the PC or laptop to the virtual desktop from both the LAN and WAN when outside the office. The virtual desktop hosts all corporate applications, files and data. The Fat Client is used for Internet browsing, rather than accessing the Internet from the virtual desktop. This isolates the virtual desktop from any malware, spyware or ransomware safeguarding corporate applications and data from harm, while leaving corporate data on the corporate network safe and secure.
Advans has a netPulz VDI Thin Client which is a small computer about the size of a deck of cards. A monitor, mouse and keyboard are plugged into the Thin Client and it connects the user to their virtual desktop. The Thin Client can also be taken out of the office, or a second one can be used, for remotely connecting to the virtual desktop when outside the office. The Thin Client also provides Internet browsing like a Fat Client to isolate the virtual desktop from malware, spyware and ransomware, protecting corporate data.
Customers that have existing PC’s and laptops can continue to use them as Fat Clients in the LAN and WAN for accessing their virtual desktops using our netPulz VDI Software Client. If a customer wants to later eliminate PC’s and Laptops, an inexpensive Thin Client can replace the PC for access to the existing virtual desktop. Any combination of Fat and Thin Clients may be utilized by VDI customers. Additionally, netPulz Software Defined Client may also be installed on employee’s personal devices for secure access to the corporate network. In short, you can phase out buying PCs altogether.
